With almost three decades of extensive medical experience under her belt, Allyson Berkey, M.D. is a pioneer in the field of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Berkey brings an impressive resume to the community with her formal traditional western medical education and practice experience, combined with years of additional training in the emerging integrative medical field as a Board Certified Regenerative Physician with the American Board of Regenerative Medicine (ABRM).

Education and Training
Dr. Berkey was born and raised in Newport Beach and attended Newport Harbor High School where she was awarded the distinguished Bausch and Lomb Science Award. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA), she earned her Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota where she also stayed to complete her Residency. Dr. Berkey completed additional training in ER, ICU, CCU, NICU, trauma, and bone marrow transplant at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
She initially specialized in Pediatrics, joining the staff at La Jolla Pediatrics, Scripps La Jolla, Scripps Mercy, and Sharp-Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Children. She then rose to the role of Medical Director at Scripps Mercy Outpatient Pediatric Clinic and was asked to join the teaching faculty at the University of California in San Diego (UCSD).
Specialties and Expertise
While she began her career in Pediatrics, she soon discovered her passion for Primary Care, Nutrition, Aesthetics, and Regenerative Medicine. Over the past ten years, Dr. Berkey has received extensive training in Integrative Medicine, Hormone Replacement Therapies, Wound Healing, Laser and Aesthetic procedures, and Anti-Aging Treatments, such as Regenerative Cellular and Exosome Therapy.
Dr. Berkey was introduced to Regenerative Cellular Therapy in 2016 and has been training for the safe application of viable cells under the guidelines of the FDA and IRB protocols. She participated in the first instructional course in the U.S., offered by the International Society for Stem Cell Application (ISSCA) in conjunction with one of the leading cord blood regenerative cell providers. Since that time, she has attended multiple conferences on donor cell biology, technology, therapies, and techniques.
In 2017, she completed her Board Certification as a Regenerative Physician with the American Board of Regenerative Medicine (ABRM).
